Just installed Kubuntu 7.10, but seem to have an old connection problem. Version 6.06 would give me a "The pppd daemon died unexpectably. Exit status 19", so I upgraded to v7.04 and didn't have the problem. Now v7.10 is giving me the error again. Otherwise v7.10 seems a lot faster and stable. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Do you need your ethernet interface? Mr. Google suggests that maybe disabling the Eth0 interface will help resolve the pppd error. -

I can't remember exactly and don't have ubuntu with me here, but please take a look the etc/ppp/peer there is an option file, try to comment out or add back the 'auth' (authentication) to try, I got this problem before but no longer in Gusty.Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :PComment
