Copying Music CD to Amarok Collection

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but here goes. Ubuntu 7.04 provided a program to copy a music CD to a folder, etc. I don't see the program in Kubuntu 7.10. Is it there under a different name ??
Also, is there a way to automatically load the "equalizer" in Amarok each time Amarok is loaded ?? TIA
    BTW, 7.10 is great.

K3B can rip music, but the option is rather buried.
I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (yes Gnome) with upgrades applied daily about 0900 UK time. Hardware is Dell Precision 420, 2x 800 MHz PIII, 512 MB RDRAM, nVidia GeForce 6800 128 MB AGP graphics, 18GB SCSI and 500GB IDE HDDs, DVD burner, Hauppage TV card.

I found it in K3B. Strange, when using the "Nero" type buttons to perform a function, "ripping" isn't there. However, loading K3B and going to "File" (I think) and it was there. Thanks for the input.
