    problema al descargar algunos paquetes o el envío pudo romper algunos
    paquetes."

    "There was a mistake in sending the changes. May occur
    A
    Problem downloading or sending some packages could break some
    Packets. "

    Re: Problems upgrading kubuntu 7.10

    Adept seems to have a few bugs lately.

    To upgrade your system from the console, do

    $ sudo apt-get update
    $ sudo apt-get upgrade

    If apt-get upgrade throws errors, post them here.

    Also, bear in mind it may be asking (annoyingly) for the CD. To stop this, simply edit (as root) your /etc/apt/sources.list file and delete any cdrom lines.
    I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (yes Gnome) with upgrades applied daily about 0900 UK time. Hardware is Dell Precision 420, 2x 800 MHz PIII, 512 MB RDRAM, nVidia GeForce 6800 128 MB AGP graphics, 18GB SCSI and 500GB IDE HDDs, DVD burner, Hauppage TV card.

      Try the following as well:
      sudo dpkg --configure -a
      that solved the problem you mention for me when I had the same thing

        Re: Problems upgrading kubuntu 7.10

        You can only directly upgrade to Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) from Kubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn)

        Follow the images at http://www.kubuntu.org/~jriddell/kubuntu-upgrade.

        1. Open the Adept Manager by going to KMenu -> System -> Adept Manager (Manage Packages)

        2. In Adept, go to Adept -> Manage Repositories

        3. Enable the "Recommended updates" and "Pre-released updates" repository, close and reload

        4. If your system is up to date, the upgrade wizard will be offered after you click "Fetch Updates" via the "Version Upgrade" button, else..

        1. Press the Full Upgrade button
        2. Press the Apply Changes button
        3. Once the packages are installed, exit the Adept Manager (Adept -> Quit)
        4. Repeat the initial steps (1 - 3)

            Well congrats! Glad you finally got it to work. I hope the effort turns out to have been worth the effort.
