I did a fresh install of a Gutsy but preserving my /home dir from a previous Feisty.
Now I experience the following problems:
1) Sometimes, USB sticks and removable media don't get mounted. I restart the X session and when I login again things start to work. Why is this? is there a solution? or how can I restart the kio_media ioslave or whatever the KDE media mounter is called? (udev and hal seem ok restarting them does not fix anything, restarting kdm does)
2) Some apps at the system tray hang. Amarok sometimes is there (the pid is there) but does not work. Even if I "kill -9" it the only way to make it work again is to restart the kdm session, just as before. Can I restart the systray somehow or fix this at once?
3) I use CompizFusion, this may be the one causing problems. Most often, the Adept icon in the systray gets lost out of it as an independent window after compiz activation. Any fix for this?
