Hi all, I just installed 7.10 Kubuntu and the first thing I usually do is add the weather applet. It seems to be missing in 7.10, anybody know why? I got to have my weather info!

Re: weather applet
You could try looking out the window Just kidding. I don't know about the weather applet. Of course there always is kweather (in the repos). I haven't used it since... well a long time ago.
I have the forecastfox enhanced add-on installed on firefox and use the superkaramba (should be in the repos) widgets.
Liquidweather is a good one
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=6384
it is very configurable and flexible.
For more on superkaramba:

After installing it from adept/synaptic or with:
Code:sudo apt-get install superkaramba
Enjoy

Re: weather applet
Thanks Fintan and Snowhog, for the respond and info. Weather is so available over the web, I can get it quick and easy, the applet is really no big deal. I was just curious why it was dropped. I basically use Ubuntu but always set setup Kubuntu on 2nd hd with each new release, it's just a fun thing.
