So I went through the mythtv setup and kept things basically default. MySQL was populated but I keep getting this error:
"Could not connect to the master backend server -- is it running? Is the IP address set fr it in the setup program correct?"
I changed the IP to the static IP I get from my router and still same error. I do a ctrl - esc and I can't find the process. I open Konsole and type "sudo /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend start" and it tells me it's already started. I do a stop and it tells me "Stopping MythTV server: mythbackend No /usr/bin/mythbackend found running; none killed."
I checked Adept to make sure the backend was installed (I wouldn't get the errors when I tried starting and stopping it also) and it's installed.
Any ideas?
