Flash has no audio since upgrade to Gutsy

With Feisty I had audio working with Flash video in Firefox, but since upgrading to Gutsy I no longer have audio in Flash. Amarok works fine and stuff, just have problems with "browser video."

Looks like the upgrade involved Flash 9, I thought I was using 7 or something. Can anyone help me figure out what broke?

Are you using flashplugin-nonfree or gnash ? What tells aboutlugins in the url line ?

    about: URI scheme
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/About:_URI_scheme
about: is an internal URI scheme (also known as a "URL scheme" or, erroneously, "protocol") in various web browsers to display certain built-in functions and Easter eggs.
    flashplugin-nonfree
This package will download the Flash Player from Adobe. It is a
Netscape/Mozilla type plugin. Any browser based on Netscape or Mozilla can
use the Flash plugin. This package currently supports the following browsers:
Mozilla, Mozilla-Firefox, Firefox, Iceweasel, and Iceape. Also Galeon and
Epiphany can use the Flash plugin. Konqueror can also use the Flash plugin if
    konqueror-nsplugins is installed.
    gnash
    free SWF movie player
Gnash is a free Flash movie player, which works either standalone, or as
plugin for Firefox/Mozilla or Konqueror. Currently it is in a alpha state.
The plugins are under heavy development at this time.
Feisty has Adobe flash 9.0.48 and Gnash 0.7.2
Gutsy has Adobe flash 9.0.48 and Gnash 0.8.1

Do you have kubuntu-restricted-extras - Commonly used restricted packages.
This package depends on some commonly used packages in the Kubuntu
    multiverse repository.

Installing this package will pull in support for MP3 playback and decoding,
Java runtime environment, Flash plugin, DVD playback, and LAME (to create
    compressed audio files).

Please note that packages from multiverse are restricted by copyright
or legal issues in some countries. See

Try removing/renaming ~/.asoundrc, then restart FF.

      That worked for me.

        Thanks for the quick responses!

I tried re-installing the flash plugin, no help there. I also installed the restricted extras, again, no effect.

        HOWEVER - removing .asoundrc worked!

Thanks a lot! I can now watch youtube! (woo hoo)
