    Customizing Grub

Ive got a few problems with Griub atm. After Grub loads up " failed to read splash image blah blah, press any key to continue".. Then the proper Grug menu comes up and when i select the kernel i get, "You passed an undefined mode number, Press return to see video modes available , Press Space to continue. I press Space and everything works from them. What with these ?

EDIT: i fixed the splash image problem, now just gotta find the undefined mode number issue.

Just my 2 cents worth. The "undefined mode number" message appeared for me when I started using startup-manager and had the incorrect Resolution. After reducing the Resolution, the message disappeared.
