Metabar phone home

Anybody have any ideas as to why I can not get metabar on my konqueror.
I remove Dolphin, thing was useless, to used to konqueror, and this old dog doesn't learn new tricks all that well.
When I press F9 I get a blank side bar.
If I do a right click on the blank side bar and I get a navigation side bar I get a pop up menu for navigation side bar for adding metabar (does nothing), adding amarok and several other items which all do nothing.

Help really miss my metabar.

Do you have the konq-plugins package installed?

Yes. FAiled to mention that it works fine if I use konqueror as root.
Kind of crazy. Has to be something with configuration but not really sure where to look or what to do.

Well, you could try purging it. That's supposed to remove all configuration things from your system.
Either purge it from Adept or "sudo apt-get remove --purge konq-plugins" and then install it again.

SheeEttin tried it but to no avail.
After install it has the same behavior.
It is very strange the meta bar is there, but no icons.

I still have my 7.04 and it Works in 7.04 OK.

Any more ideas ??
