/usr/bin/compiz.real (video) - Warn: No 8 bit GLX pixmap format, disabling YV12

Has anyone figured out what causes this? I am using compiz fusion and I can get the cube when I hit ctrl alt and left mouse button. Is the cube supposed to show as the desktop? This is what I get when I run compiz --replace.

Also I have checked enable on restricted drivers for nVidia. I would appreciate any input on this, thanks in advance.

    Yeah, I think so.

Do you have the package "xserver-xgl" installed? Remove it.

I removed the "xserver-xgl" but I still get the above error.

I think you'll have to remove the compiz packages and the emerald package, reboot your system, and then re-install just the compiz packages and emerald, without the xserver-xgl package. Then open a console and run
        Code:
        compiz
I assume you have a video driver installed that will run
        Code:
        glxgears
        , right?

Yes I can run "glxgears". How do I go about installing without xserver-xgl package? Can I remove and reinstall, then remove the xserver-xgl? Thanks for your quick replies.
