I'm not sure what happened. I did a clean install of Kubuntu Gutsy from a Live CD. Everything went well and it was up in less than 20 minutes. I then installed my Nvidia drivers (which installed beautifully, BTW) and set my screen resolution. Then rebooted to come up with the correct resolution and then I started my system update. But when I did an update from the Adept Updater it gave me an error of "commiting changes." When I close the window and try again, I get the same message. And it breaks the system! Not instantly. But when I reboot, it boots up to a blank screen. I tried the install 4 times with the same results. On my 5th install, I disabled the Adept Updater. Here's a screen shot of the error.
