I've just checked how much memory i have available, and i'm quite frightened to see that the system is using 671,148kb (plus 34,556kb of the swap) -- with nothing running in the tray, other than KNetworkManager, which leaves me with 103,884kb free.
Is this much memory usage normal? Beagled and beagled-helper are using 60,000 between them, and bluetoothd-serv appears twice, using a total of 5,606. I have no need of bluetooth (as far as i know), knotify is using 36,184, and kweatherservice
26,804, - can i safely stop these?
It seems to me to be an excessive use of resources for a system which is just idling, is it possible to thin out some of the processes which aren't absolutely necessary?
