    Reset Icons to none/default

    I accidentally gave all executables an icon in the file manager. How do I reset that?

    Hmm - If you can't use K > System Settings > Appearance -> Icons (default is Crystal SVG)

    Edit /home/USER/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals.

    There is:
    [Icons]
    Theme=theme_name
    Just remove "Theme=theme_name" and Kubuntu will use default icons theme.

    Note
    USER is your log in name.

            My bad, use those instructions when you want to reset icon theme.

            Reset one icon (executable):

            Goto /home/USER/.kde/share/mimelnk/application/
            There should be x-executable.desktop-file, remove or rename it.

            => Executables should have default icon.

            Change icon:
            Right click icon in the file manager > Properties >

            Click wrench

            Click Icon

            Choose icon...
