    automounting problem after upgrade

okay, let's try this a different way: does anyone know what packages/configuration files are involved in enabling the automounting of removable media? then, does anyone know what if any changes were made to these between fusty and gusty, particularly as to format of the config files?

my thought is that inasmuch as i have a full backup of the previous -- working -- system, i might be able to either copy directly or harvest values from the earlier configurations. if it can be done, this is more attractive than the nontrivial task of reverting the whole system to 7.04 and waiting until a working distribution is fashioned.

so. anybody here familiar with how the automounting system, as employed by debian/ubuntu/kubuntu, works?

    thanks!

I'm not an expert on this, but I experienced a similar bug:

Uninstalling ivman fixed my issue, not sure if it helps you ...

    Cheers!
