weird compiz issue

Basically, my problem is i want to turn off caps, but when i go to that section in the menu theres already no caps selected, but the default compiz logo caps are still on. Also i can't change my skydome colors, no matter what i choose it stays default black. Can anyone help me out?

I think the skycap image must be 512 x 512. Have you tired that?

I haven't, but the thing is i just want to get rid of them so it looks like a ring, but when the fields are empty instead of turning them off it just gives me the defaults.
