    Amarok Problems with Gutsy

    Hi,

When I first installed Kubuntu Gutsy and ran Amarok I configured it to use MySQL to store its information (I have a lot of MP3!), but all that happened was Amarok appeared to crash (I got screen corruption in Amarok Window), so I killed the Window and since that Amarok refuses to start I get the icon at bottom of the screen when I run Amarok but after a while that vanishes and nothing happens. I have tried delete ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok folder and telling Adapt to reinstall Amarok but still no joy, I even did the MS thing (Rebooted ), can someone please help.

    Thanks,

Run it in the command line and paste whatever happens on here. That should tell us what is wrong with it.

When I run Amarok I get

      Code:
      Amarok: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
Amarok: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use amarokapp.

Amarok: [Loader] Amarok is taking a long time to load! Perhaps something has gone wrong?

The App does start (after about 10 minutes), but the screen has not drawn properly and you get no response from it.

      Thanks,
