    Re: say no to dolphin!

Well, Strigi just acted to slow K7.10 down, for me. I removed it.
Dolphin is OK, as a side show in K > System, but not when it gets in the way of trying to get some work done
Maybe it's a case of just having to tolerate it to get used to it to get past the bugs to wait for it to be a tool not a toy to . . .

    Just mine. YMMV.

I simply avoid using Dolphin. When it is invoked, I'll only use it to 'view' and not 'edit/change' anything. I prefer Konqueror.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

Yep. I stay away from Dolphin as well. Konqueror to me is the best, even when viewing network shares. Dolphin has it's good points, but flexibility isn't one of them.

Very true. Even the name sounds pansy. Konquerer all the way. Really a pain to move/copy files among the folders with dolphin. Sure you can do the double view but what is wrong with right click, left click and move as in konquerer.
