Compiz-fusion widgets: Where, how or when?

There is a widget layer thing I found but no widgets as far as I can tell.

Google turns up some old references.
So for KDE in particular is there any use for this as yet or is this another incomplete aspect of my OS?

Oh, Screenlets. Not widgets.
And there is little mention on this forum. Interesting.
Need to keep up with the program I think.
Although Gkrellm is the bees for this, Screenlets are for the masses.
