KMenu has "_: Entries" prepended to most items

In my KMenu I have the phrase "_: Entries in K-menu: <appname> app Name," and then the application description.

Just installed Kubuntu 7.10 this morning. Was like that out of the box. All entries in the Multimedia section are like that. Most in Office are okay (mostly OpenOffice), but most in Utilities are not. It's usable, but terrible!

Any ideas why this is? Any way to fix this? It's really weird.
