When Compiz is running, my screen turns black after some time

Hello!

Running Kubuntu Gutsy with ATI X200M on my laptop and I've noticed something strange.

My screen goes black after about 11 minutes of inactivity (watching a movie for example). I have disabled the screensaver and also turned off the display power off option in power management.

The problem occurs only when running compiz.

Can anyone help me solve this one, please ?

Well, that's what I'd think, DPMS low-power mode or something.

Does your screen turn black, or does your monitor go into low-power mode?

The first thing i installed after Gutsy was Compiz and it worked flawlessly. Runs sweet too. Sounds like you have a problem with your monitor.

Well, I doubt that, the problem is not present if I disable XGL and compiz
All option related to power saving and/or screen savers are off.

The screen goes black but it's still active.
