randr - aka screen rotation seems to be broken just in kde

Basically when I use xrandr or the display properties from kcontrol to rotate the display, it messes up.

The result is that everything is oriented correctly, but it still treats the display as though it has the un-rotated resolution.

This means windows ect move off the sides of the screen, and there is a blank area at the bottom of the screen.
This blank area is mostly functional in the sense that windows and expand into it and still be displayed, but no automatic size changes (maximize ect) will move things into this area.

Also kicker retains the same size as the pre-rotation size.

I've tried using xrandr under gnome and xfce and they work fine, unfortunately it looks like its just kde that is having a problem.

oh yeah, I'm not running beryl.

the system is a toshiba portege m200. its a tablet pc.
The video card is nvidia 5200, and I am using the restricted nvidia driver.
Working...
