      Re: Bouncing icon

It's been set a year ago that's why I post here, not the first time to post if you check.

          No problem
As far as I know few people have the same problem.

Uncheck launch feedback for the entries in your K Menu?
            For external use only.

                  Re: Bouncing icon

If the complaint is about a very long wait with a bouncing icon, followed by failure to open packages that require a sudo password, such as Adept, then this is the fix:

Open (with Super User privileges) the file /etc/sudoers:

                  Code:
                  kdesu kate /etc/sudoers
and carefully add ",timestamp_timout=0" to the end of the "Defaults" line, so it looks like this:

                  Code:
                  Defaults	!lecture,tty_tickets,!fqdn,timestamp_timeout=0
Click "save", close kate, and after the next reboot, you should no longer experience the failure to open.

If the complaint is the half-second of bouncing for all programs, DoorGunner has given the correct "de-bounce" instruction. I'll repeat what I just saw on my Gutsy system:

Alt-F2>"kcontrol">Appearance & Themes>Launch Feedback>Busy Cursor (dropdown window), change to "No Busy Cursor" or "Blinking Cursor" or whatever you want.
