Kaffeine No, Mplayer Yes

Hi,

I just installed 7.10 and all is well except I can't play Movies using Kaffeine? Mplayer works but when I try Kaffeine I get "No plugin found to handle this resource (dvd:///dev/scd0)"

Any Ideas?

I have a slightly different problem since upgrading to Gutsy Beta...

I have libcss2 installed and I can play physical DVD's just fine but for some reason Kaffeine will no longer play ISO's.

Any Ideas?

I'm going to turn to MPlayer to. I just got to get all the packages together
for it. It works great on my Ubuntu side taking care of real and wmv files.
Kaffeine has never worked effectively for me, and since I installed
7.10 today it as well as xine is useless.

VLC has always been my fallback, but that still leaves no real video
player. I like the way Mplayer can handle both formats.

I just came here to post a heads up about this problem having solved it late last night.

After doing a clean install Kaffeine was telling me "No plugin found to handle this resource (dvd:///dev/scd0)" when I tried to play DVDs. I already had libdvdcss2 installed. I stumbled across the answer on a X years old post on a forum for a different distro. Install libxine1-ffmpeg. Sorted it for me. Didn't have this problem under Fiesty, seems like someone got the dependencies a bit wrong somewhere and libxine1-ffmpeg should have been installed by default.

I tried to play DVD and got this ..it didnt even ask for a plugin
