I'm not reporting these to the devs, for the moment -- they have bigger fish to fry!
However,
1. If you install the "system-config-samba" package, which appears to be a nice Gnome GUI front-end for Samba configuration, the icon appears in both your KMenu>System and also the new KMenu>Settings folder. Seems to work fine, from either location.
2. If you install the package "gnome-system-monitor", my favorite GUI resource monitor, it will crash when you try to run it. (Kubuntu Gutsy, 64-bit).
That is all.
