    Today's X.org update borked glx

    Having swallowed the slew of x.org updates today:

    xserver-xorg 1:7.2-5ubuntu9;
    xserver-xorg-core 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu4;
    xserver-xorg-dev 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-12ubuntu4,

    I am no longer able to run compiz: "compiz --replace" would kill X. Even the command "glxinfo" would have X killed.

    I am using GeForce 7300GS; Nvidia binary driver 100.14.11

    My xorg.conf:

    Code:

    nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
    # nvidia-xconfig: version 1.0 (buildmeister@builder3) Wed Jun 13 18:39:30 PDT 2007

    Never mind, reinstalled the NVidia binary blob and everything is back to normal

      What exactly did you do to redo the Nvidia blob? I've hosed around with this thing for hours now and can't seem to get it back. In fact now I cant even get the screen to come up after the Kubuntu load bar.
