    Mine were in /home/USERNAME/.strigi (or something like that) - if you can't see it view it; View > Show Hidden Files

      What is a good alternative? Will tracker integrate reasonably well into kubuntu, or should I just get google desktop search?

          I currently use Tracker in Kubuntu without any problems. It works much better than Strigi.
