Nor will any Konqueror update, since this is a gtk issue

However, today's gtk updates seem to fix things.

Okay. But help me out here... In firefox flash works fine, but even after this mornings GTK updates, konqueror still won't flash. Can someone help me fix it (if it's still not a software bug)? Thanks!

Until yesterday, due to some gtk issues in the flash plugin opera and konqueror would run extremely slow or crash altogether when encountering flash content. This appears to be fixed, as I can use both opera and konqueror now for flash videos.
Take a look in Settings->Configure Konqueror->Plugins and see whether the path to the flash plugin is listed; if not, add it and scan for new plugins.

            Thanks. I'll try that.
