Hi, downloaded the tribe 4 Kgutsy 32 iso x2, both gave multiple lines as below on 2 machines, and took about 8 minutes to eventually boot.
BUFFER I/O ERROR ON DEVICE FD0, LOGICAL BLOCK O
BUFFER I/O ERROR ON DEVICE FD0, LOGICAL BLOCK O
BUFFER I/O ERROR ON DEVICE FD0, LOGICAL BLOCK O
BUFFER I/O ERROR ON DEVICE FD0, LOGICAL BLOCK O
and on and on until it finally booted.
It still had the Samsung print problem in the cd live boot, and one could not view any installed printers as user still, having to do the administrator login
So I could not convince myself to to install it, but just apt-get dist-upgradetribe 3, 32 which I hope is essentially the same?
Hope this is the case, or does one just accumulate more and more alpha errors?
The alpha dance so far is Alpha 1 step forward, at least 2 fundamental steps backward, so far, with networking (fixed) Openoffice (fixed eventually) Konqueror font adjustment (not fixed) and printing (not fixed).
Perhaps the eventual beta dance will be more fun?
Best
