anyone else experience the konqueror service menu for installing debian packages disappearing?

It became redundant (and was removed) because gutsy includes a kde version of gdebi.
You should be able to install (or examine) deb packages by right-clicking and choosing "open with...gdebi".
If you (for some reason) don't have gdebi, install package 'gdebi-kde' -

ah, i seemed to have missed that info. thanks, i didn't have gdebi installed, altho it doesn't work yet.
perhaps i need to log out first, but i'll do that tomorrow.
