Hi amazingly I am back online, I was about to give up on tribe 2 with no internet support.
Only keeping on trying various options got me on but goodness knows for how long.
The port is a CK804 Nvidia 100MB/S, which worked fine on installation for a while, but updates seem to have corrupted things.
It shows up as activated in system network settings but inactivated on kde panel, and even activated on panel still no surfing.
Beats me---very kludgy!
