Hi,
any ideas why I can't get network access using a HomePlug (ethernet) device?
The network adapter is fine - I'm writing this with the laptop hardwired into my router on the desk. I can also access files on two desktop PCs.
However, if I plug the laptop into my HomePlug adapter, then networking stops. I can't even ping anything.
The same HomePlug adapter / cable / mains socket combination works flawlessly with the desktop PCs (one running Windows XP, one running PCLinuxOS) and with a MacBook. It just won't play with Kubuntu.
I have tried disabling IPv6 as suggested in some other posts, but that hasn't cured the problem.
