Alright, the situation is that I have a modem with only 1 ethernet port and one usb port the ethernet port is occupied by my xbox so i need to use usb for my computet, but this is not working with kubuntu, it did work on XP so im guessing it's not hardware related. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Connecting to the internet via USB connection to modem
It is extremely possible that I am wrong, but I doubt you will get it to work. Honestly, I'm surprised it worked in XP...
I would go get a cheap router...you don't need wireless, so I'm guessing you could pick one up for $20.
