i am pretty new to the whole linux thing. i was having trouble getting my wireless card to work. i have an acer aspire 4720z with the atheros 5007eg card. i tired using ndiswrapper but didnt have any luck and found the whole thing to be alittle complicated. then i came across this webiste that uses madwifi to get the wireless to work. it only took me about 5min to get my wireless working with the steps used on the site below. i hope it helps you out.

I am curious to try this. I am afraid however, that when I do my wireless will stop working all together. I currently have mine working with ndiswrapper. Thanks for the link.
