VNC / Remote Desktop Red Screen

I use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to other machines on my local LAN. However, now that I use Kubuntu 7.10, whenever I use the application, the remote screen appears red. I can see all the icons, the desktop, control the remote machine, but it looks like I am viewing it through a red filter.

Any ideas why the red has appeared? In previous versions, the true colors would come through.
