Hi All,
I've been going insane trying to get my computer to connect to my network.
My setup is as follows:
Router: WRT54GX v1.02.14
NIC: WMP54G
Router settings (1):
ssid - homenet
WPA-shared key
wpa 1.0 and 2.0 enabled
encryption - tkip
key: 12345678 - for testing purposes.
key renewal - 900sec
Router settings (2):
ssid - homenet
WEP128
encryption - open
key: 12345678 - for testing purposes.
I have tried everything to get this to work, I know my setup of my drivers are fine on my computer, as I can connect to my friends network using wep64 on a linksys router.
In kubuntu when I look at knetworkmanager I can see my network, and when trying to connect it only allows me to select wpa-personal or wep128, etc...
However when I try to connect, it comes up cannot connect to homenet.
I have tried changing the settings in /etc/network/interfaces to setup the details of my network manually, still no luck.
I have also tested my connection by using no security, i.e. open network, however still no luck.
All help is soooo greatfully appreciated as I am trying to leave micro-hell!
Cheers,
Miike
