Hi there,
I have a Intel Pro Wireless card in my laptop (IPW2100) which works out of the box with 7.10. However, if I receive a DHCP lease and then reboot my computer, the computer fails to boot up. I get an error along the lines of "eth1 failed to start" which repeats towards infinity.
This can be resolved in two ways, either leave the computer off for a few minutes, or release the DHCP lease before I reboot. I tried putting in a ifdown eth1 in my .bash_logout script, but it only works if I actually logout, as opposed to pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL. Where else can I put in a command to release the lease upon rebooting? (I'm a linuxnoobie) Does anyone have a better solution?
Thank you!
Osteo
