Hm,
I installed the great nomachine NX server last night and boy, it is hot. So now when I'm on the road I'd like to get wake on lan/wan working. Safer, cheaper, better.
On the server side I installed ethtool and got "approval" that it supports wol:
BIOS settings are okay, an "ifconfig" tells me my MAC address. Leaves me with which port to use, say port X, for the magic packet.
But how do I tell ethtool which port it is to use? Unfortunately my knowledge of addressing is very limited and google, for once, hasn't been all that friendly
Anybody out there
Once I have done that I can tell my router which port to forward and off I go...
