Wireless card not working after installing kubuntu

    Hi everyone,

I installed recently ubuntu 7.10 and it works really well, on my laptop, everything was recognized except camera(but i read some posts and i fixed it).
I wanted to have a try with kde so installed kubuntu...the only problem is that my wireless card is not recognized in kde. I don't explain how, but if I log out and switch to gnome it works and if then I log out and switch to kde it works again...but if I start the pc with kde no, I don't know why and I don't understand since kde should be mostly graphical stuff, shouldn't it?
So everytime I want to use kde with the network connection I have to switch to gnome and then back to kde...
Can i get my wireless card working on kde as well since the beginning in kde, without having to switch to gnome?

    THanks everyone,
    Freddy

Go to K>System Settings>Network Settings, click the Administrator Mode button at the bottom and enter your password. Select your wireless adapter in the window and click the Configure Interface button. Make sure the Automatic button is check and dhcp is showing in the drop down and that the check box for Activate when the computer starts is checked. Then click Ok and Apply. That should do it. You can reboot and try it out.
