    Gutsy-kde4-20071126 I can't to configure pppoeconf

After download this image (http://kubuntu.org/~jriddell/cds/kub...4-20071126.iso) on this link (https://wiki.kubuntu.org/HardyHeron/Alpha2/Kubuntu) and installed I can't to configure the pppoe to conect in internet.
Whe I try to run the command "pppoeconf" recive the message to run apt-get install pppoeconf, but I can't to run apt because my connection to internet is not working.

    How to solve this problem?

    *Sorry my english is little.

    Tks

First of all , never install an Alpha version, if you're using you're computer in a "descent" manner
There are ppl out there (developers,....) that install Alpha and Beta versions on their "old" computers, just for testing.
Wait until the release of a stable version...one that has been tested well.

Maybe you have access on another computer.
From there you should be able to go to the Ubuntu sites, where you can download the package and put it on USB stick or something. So you can install it on you're "broken" computer.

Or do you still have some sort of installation CD of your previous Kubuntu installation ? It should contain the package as well.

EDIT: Is there by any chance you can go online using these commands at the command line (?)

    (sudo) ifconfig eth0 up
    (sudo) ifup eth0
    Acer Aspire 5100<br />Kubuntu Hardy 8.04
