    Internet not working

    Hello,
I was installed kubuntu on my desktop machine few days ago.
    Installation was successfully completed.
But my problem is with internet.
I am using blue tooth via mobile phone to connect internet.
    I was installed the script.
And i am able to connect.
But when i tried to open a web page. "unable to open a web page" error displayed.
No loading, no waiting, just browser get to unable to open page message.
But i am able to ping with host.
and able to run instant message client.
but not able to open any pages.
    Seems like firewall protected.
But i never installed any firewall or another any security softwares.

    Thanks,
    Vishal

    Re: Internet not working

check you're browser settings, most are 'direct connection to internet'

You might need to add a script or do a 'auto-detect network proxies'
    Using:<br />Mint Kubuntu 7.10 (kde4 dual core 2.2ghz 4gb)<br />Freenas (nx6325 hp laptop)<br />Mint Gnome 7.10 (EEE Pc 4g white 1 gb ram)

If you are using 'firefox' you go to edit>preferences>network

check the settings in there, you will probably see it has 'connect directly to the internet'

try ticking the 'auto detect proxy' settings
