    Slow internet.

I have a good browsing speed(2mbps).But most of the time the web pages take a lot of time to get opened.

This may be due to poor dns servers(even in the ubuntu documentation he has mentioned that my internet provider default dns servers are slow, so the browsing gets faster if we use good dns servers).

Which are the best , fastest dns servers??(if u have any good personal experience with the dns servers , plz do tell).

    I use OpenDNS at http://www.opendns.com/

You may also want to make sure you have disabled IPV6. A search of the forum should turn up instructions for this.

Doing both of these decreased my connection time to many sites.

The other thing I do, for those sites I visit often, is to ping them and get their IP address, and edit your bookmarks to use the IP address directly instead of the domain name. This speeds things up as you then bypass the DNS server and go directly to the site. The drawback is that some sites periodically change their IP address.
