Well that deal came out of the EU judgment against M$. I personally think it will be great if there are no other underhanded events. From what I've read, SAMBA and M$ use to talk about the protocols (early mid 90's) and then M$ abandoned that. Also, it seems that M$ this past year accused SAMBA of Patent Infringement. I really do hope that it sticks. I've actually just recently got SAMBA to work for me
