USB WIFI - EDIMAX EW-7318USG - Not Working

I read a couple places on the net that the EDIMAX EW-7318USG would work in Kubuntu.
I've only been using Linux for about a month so I'm still learning the commands.

    In a terminal:
lsusb, I see the wifi dongle
lshw, I see the last item is wireless and it says it's disabled
iwconfig, I see my internal card is up and running fine

So I guess my question is.... is my internal card keeping the usb wifi from being used?
Can somebody PLEASE help me get this working?

    Thanks!

No, your internal card would not prevent it from working. Have you checked this out?

If not, give it a look.

      Thanks for the fast reply!

I did see that page and tried copying his commands to my terminal window, but it didn't work.

So now I'm in the process of following the instructions on this page...
      https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Device/Belkin_F5D7050_ver_3000_(Ralink_rt73_driver)
I'm so tired now, I'll have to finish it tomorrow when I get up, I'll post an update with those results.

Well, I tried everything on that page and it still doesn't work.
It's still disabled in the list I get from "lshw"
I have a funny feeling if I could just enable it, everything would work fine!
But I have no idea how to "enable it" since neither ifconfig rausb0 up and
        ifconfig wlan0 up works.
