Hi all,
I'm trying to setup a server firewall/gateway. The kubuntu box is connected to 3 XP clients with a dsl router, the ip address of the router is 192.168.1.1 and it provides the eth0 interface connected to the server with its ip address via dhcp.
eth1 is the lan interface which I am trying to configure for internet connection sharing via eth0 with shorewall firewall. I just cannot get this to work-do I need a bridging setup here? Or should a setup of 192.168.0.1 for the lan interface and then 192.168.0.2 etc for the XP machines work?
So its like this:
router <----- > eth0 kubuntu <------> eth1 -XP machines
192.168.1.1 from router with dhcp ?
Thanks for any help
