wireless disabled & wireless LED still keep flashing

    Hi,

The wireless LED(wireless status) in my laptop does not work correctly on 7.10 in my laptop. After wireless function disabled, the wireless LED still keep flashing at interval of 2 seconds. I have done a quick test by enabling and then disabling the wireless function in knetworkmanager. Surprisingly, the LED kept flashing much more quickly without stop(go crazy...) even after the wireless function disabled. I had to reboot the system. It now keeps flashing at interval of 2 seconds as usual after the system is rebooted.

    I am using Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG on kubuntu 7.10.
Has Anyone got the same problem?

Don't you have a switch for the wireless that you could just turn off?

      forgot to mention...

My laptop has no hardware switch to turn wireless off. I only know how to turn the wireless off in knetworkmanager. I am using 2.6.22 on gutsy with all updates.

Next recommendation is to turn it off in the bios.
