    cannot connect to network

First of all, I am an ubuntu newb. I bought a fujitsu lifebook a6025 that came with vista, so naturally i replaced it as soon as possible with gutsy.

The problem is that knetwork manager says that there is no device is recognized. my wireless card is an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and i checked to make sure that it was turned on, and it was. Since i know next to nothing about ubuntu i have no idea what is wrong.

Does anyone know what i should do?

If you search for "3945" you wll find quite a few threads including at least one labeled as a solution.
