I switched to Gutsy on my laptop and on one of my desktops, and neither one will connect to any router, they are seen by wlassistant, but clicking on any one the system freezes up and to get out have to turn power off. they were both working with Fiesty and I had no problems. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong Thanks in advance

Re: cannot connect to routers
I know that there was some problem connecting to the network with Gutsy after the initial install. If you stop and restart networking it should connect. This problem is fixed in the updates, which of course you can't get until you get connected
I had the problem, and by merely killing and restarting the network it connected.

Re: cannot connect to routers
I am having the same problem. Cannot get the IP address by DHCP, via router. It worked before, when I had a switch instead of a router... Nothing helped... In Windows XP, it works fine, but in Kubuntu, the router LED even does not light.
