kubuntu 7.10 live cd

I tried kubuntu 7.10 live cd but when it loaded the desktop was half blue and the other half was orange i don't know where the problem ?

so if i install kubuntu 7.10 on my hard disk it will work fine ? with it true colors?
my graphics card is intel GMA900............................

Since you're working with a Live CD, why not try it on a different computer? If it works (and it probably will) and it still won't on yours, then you've moved decisively toward finding the problem - something's not right with your machine.

If you cannot get the Live CD to function appropriately on your computer, it makes no sense to install it. Find the problem first. (Wish I could help you there, but hardware is definitely NOT my strength.)

I tried the cd on another computer and it works fine but on on my computer not fine

That experiment seems to narrow the issue to your computer's video display system.

If memory serves, if you are seeing the initial splash menu for the Live CD, you can press F6 and see some option for the further loading of it. I think you probably want "VGA" or perhaps "VESA".
