Cant get it to work,BSOD V.kde...

Hey, i'am new to linux nd i decided to install kubuntu on my toshiba laptop, with amd 64 x2(but i hoose the xi86 live cd)
So heres the problem, i boot wth te cd, then choose te first option and i get the bleu kde startup background, without any interface but the mouse.
I started a memory test, but it ddint found any errors
I think its a matter of driver, but maybe someone had he same problem before

It should be fine to use the 32bit version on a 64bit system. Try booting with the ACPI off (Safe Mode) and see if it helps. Toshiba usually doesn't have a problem, so turning the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface off should help. Toshiba was one of the developers of ACPI along with Microsoft, so it's possible there's a setting made "Just for Windows" in the ACPI.

I've already tried to boot in the safe mode of kubuntu and i had the same bleu screen, ill double chek the bios for acpi settings. I run the error detection wizard for the cd, and it found 1 single error. Ivs cheked the md5 print and they are ok...

This may sound a bit strange but the *ubuntu live cd's sometimes have issues on some media (CD brands) when burnt at faster than 8x. So you may try and reburn at 4x.

It works with me and TDK cd/dvd.
