it is a long file, granted, but right near the top you will see an entry that looks like "default 0"
now go to the end of that file and you will see all the os/kernels listed that are available. start counting with 0, so if you want the fifth entry for example, you count 0, 1, 2, 3 ,4 - bingo. now go back up top and change the "default 0" to "default 4"
